Assessing the damage from looted ATMs in KZN & Gauteng

The cost of damages from July's widespread looting in KwaZul-Natal and Gauteng provinces in South Africa continues to roll in.  The head of the Banking Association of South Africa (#BASA), Bongiwe Kunene told the press on 29 Jul 2021 that 1,223 automated teller machines (#ATM) and 269 bank branches were destroyed during the July looting.
